Returning the Waterfront to the Community
Roslyn's history through the years has been defined by its relationship to the waterfront. A central component of the Roslyn Landing project is returning the waterfront to the Community. The site plan details public amenities such as a waterfront plaza, ponds, overlooks and especially a Promenade which runs along the entire westerly boundary of the project. The combination of these elements will invigorate the waterfront experience for village residents. A pedestrian can take a leisurely stroll from Main Street along the promenade, stop to enjoy and view on the Overlook and finally connect to a similar feature of the Sterling Glen project. In a larger sense, this component is envisioned to become part of the Parkland complex of Roslyn proper which includes the Duck Pond, Main Street and Morley Park. All of these together will enrich the experience of living in Roslyn.
